A four-part intensive for grief and heartbreak

Untangled

If you're having difficulty moving on, come heal in group.

Have you gone through the loss of a relationship and had a difficult time putting yourself back together after the loss? Whether you've gone through a breakup, a divorce, or even a death, Untangled is a group for those who are navigating the loss of an intimate relationship.

When we fall in love with someone, we begin to tether our lives and our future plans with that person. When we lose someone like that, picking ourselves up and moving forward can be very difficult.

The intention of this group is to provide a space to speak openly, offer tools to rebuild and uncover the life you truly want to live, and heal with a group of others going through their own unique process of grief.

We understand how difficult this process can be, and we're here to support you on your healing journey.

Four parts, one path

From the first conversation to coming home to yourself.

Part one · One hour, booked with you

One-on-one with your therapist

An hour with one of your facilitators to talk about what you need and what you hope to find in the circle. You leave with a journal and an attachment style quiz.

More about this part

An hour with one of your facilitators to talk about what you need, what you want to process, and what you hope to find in the circle. You leave with a journal, instructions for using it, and an attachment style quiz.

Part two · Saturday, 10 AM to 1 PM

Open dialogue group, three hours

Your story in pairs or small groups, answering six questions together. After a break, attachment styles and what a healthy relationship looks like.

More about this part

We begin with introductions and intentions. Then you tell your story in pairs or small groups, answering six questions with each other: what hurt, what you feared, what you wanted, what you're angry about, what you're ashamed of, and what you still hope for. After a break, we look at attachment styles and ask what a healthy relationship looks like, how it differs from the one you had, and what that relationship took from you. You explore it in pairs first, then share with the group.

Part three · Saturday and Sunday

The intensive, two days

Ritual, a "Who am I?" exercise, inner child and attachment work in a fishbowl. Day two turns to parts work, with the circle as witness.

More about this part

Day one opens with ritual, then a "Who am I?" exercise: what story are we engaging in, where did I betray my own intuition, and when I felt someone pulling away, what did I do? We continue with inner child work and attachment work in a fishbowl, where a few people work in the center while the circle witnesses. Day two turns to parts: some teaching, then experiential work and another fishbowl.

Part four · Saturday, 10 AM to noon

Follow-up group

We come back together to integrate what you've worked through and keep the thread going.

More about this part

We come back together after the intensive to integrate what you've worked through and keep the thread going, four weeks after the intensive.

What the program asks of you

This is intentional work, and it asks something in return. You begin with a one-on-one conversation, you carry a journal through every part, and you show up in a small circle of people on the same road. Your journal is yours. What you choose to bring from it is what we open in the room.

Not all of the work is talk. The intensive draws on ritual, inner child work, and parts work, for the places where words alone don't reach.

Over the program

  • You'll tell your story out loud, to people who won't rush you through it or try to fix it.
  • You'll write, and bring what you choose from your journal into the room.
  • You'll learn how attachment styles shape the way you love, and what a healthy relationship looks like next to the one you lost.
  • You'll ask yourself hard questions: what story you're living in, where you betrayed your own intuition, and what you did when someone pulled away.
  • You'll do experiential work with your inner child and your parts, with the circle as witness.
  • You'll come back together afterward, so the work doesn't end when the weekend does.

Is this your room?

Eight to ten people sharing a tender stretch of road is a small, specific room. Better to know now than halfway through.

This is likely your group if…

  • You've lost an intimate relationship to a breakup, a divorce, or a death.
  • You're between 25 and 35, or between 35 and 45. We run these as separate circles.
  • You can attend every part, including the full two-day intensive, and you want to.
  • You're willing to write between sessions, even badly.
  • You'd rather be witnessed than advised.

This might not be the moment if…

  • You're in acute crisis. Individual work comes first, and we can help you start there, today.
  • You're still in the relationship and deciding. Couples work fits that better.
  • Your schedule means you'd miss any of the group meetings or part of the intensive. A closed circle can't absorb that.
  • You're looking for help reconciling. This group is for grieving the relationship, not repairing it.

None of these is a no from us. Tell us where you are and we'll point you at the right room.

Reserve your seat

The 35 to 45 circle begins the week of January 18, and the 25 to 35 circle the week of January 25. Here is exactly what happens after you press send.

  1. Step one

    You request a seat

Two minutes. No payment, and no commitment yet.

  2. Step two

    A free 15-minute call

We'll reach out within two business days, so you can find out whether this is your room before you ever sit in it, and so we can make sure the circle is right for everyone in it.

  3. Step three

    Your seat is held

If it's a fit, payment confirms your place: $500 for the whole program. Payment plans are available. Registration closes Monday, January 11. If fewer than six people enroll, you'll get a full refund or a seat in the next circle.

You are not being charged yet. We'll email you within two business days to set up your free 15-minute call. Payment after the call is what confirms your seat.
